I have an embarrassingly simple question about inbox view in Outlook

It's ok to laugh at me, I'm laughing at myself knowing how stupid this is, I feel like an idiot. IT buffoonery and perhaps other voodoo has somehow changed the view a bit in my inbox and it's maddening, I want it back to the old way.
-Previously, every single email was it's own separate email/line, if that makes sense. Let's say there's a topic of "Lunch" that I send out and get 5 replies...each of those replies would show up separately in my inbox.
-Now, everything in a thread is one single line. So in that same example above, I would only see one line in the inbox (the 'from' name being being the most recent respondee), then when I click it it shows me on the right side (reading pane) the entire string of emails going down to the first one.
I'm sure this is laughably easy and just takes one click somewhere...any input?

GO to options and turn off conversation view. You may be able to turn it off in the inbox view.

I'm pretty sure you are my boss.
I hate you.
Cheers!

Then you might want to get him some coffee before you fix his computer

Nevermind I got it. Just needed to refresh and the unseen ones showed up.

I HATE the new format, particularly on a mobile device.

Show as Conversation turned on is possibly the best feature in Outlook.
I'd suggest using it for a bit before getting rid of it.
