There was no traffic and I didn’t yell a bad word at merging cars so I’d say it’s smooth.

I need to drive down it a couple more times before taking a full assessment.

I dont want to jinx it just yet, but the work from the bridge to the split looks like it might indeed alleviate congestion, and if they will follow thru w closing the Washington exit, help with the bridge traffic merge as well.

Until they demo and rebuild a new, less severe curve with two continuous lanes it will never be adequate, but this work may at least make it less of a complete assrape for 8 plus hours a day.
