I think we know Valium isn't officially a muscle relaxed but that it can be used as such for some people.

That is quite a bit there sir. I took 80-120 mg a day for 9 months. Wasn't addicted. Obviously 300<120 though. Immediately after surgery I may have taken that much for a couple of weeks...

This might be the most full of complete shite post I have ever read on the OT. And that's saying a lot!!

Unless you are not human, that's impossible

Then you didn't read the one where 480 said he took 300mg for 9 months.

I can only say my experience, what I said is my experience, and the truth.

I an perfectly human. I am a 285 lb human who has always had a high tolerance to medications of any sort. 80-120 mg in 24 hrs isn't as much as you think. I was prescribed 2 10mg every 4 hours as needed. If I followed the letter of the bottle that would be 120mg. Sometimes I took less, sometimes I took exactly that.

I wasn't talking about how much you were taking, I've done the same. Talking about the "not being addicted part". That is literally unbelievable

ETA: I have about 4 years experience with pain pills, and bout 3 of those were oxy, so I have plenty of experience and knowledge. Not just talking shite

And like 480 said, if you can post a link with example of people not being able to become addicted to opiates I might start to believe you

Well, sorry. I don't know why, I was in no way chemically dependent or addicted. I walked away when I ran out. No problems whatsoever. I take that back, I had some trouble sleeping because of my shoulder hurting, plus my body was used to something else helping me relax to get to sleep. That was it.

Im actually about to get back on them because I start second round of working out/rehabbing next week. I retore the capsule in my shoulder. Woot.

If your being serious, you should go talk to doctors and get some tests run to find out why you can't become addicted to opiates, especially oxy. I have never heard of such a thing. You could be some sort of medical breakthrough, and I'm not trying to sound sarcastic

LINK

quote:

Can a chronic pain patient become addicted to opioid drugs?

Although most chronic pain patients who take opioids on a long-term basis will become physically dependent on them, very few will ever become addicted to them. The rare few who do develop a problem are often highly susceptible to addiction due to a genetic predisposition. In a review of 24,000 patients who were medically prescribed opioids, only seven could be found who got into trouble with them. So a chronic pain patient becoming addicted to opioid medications is definitely the exception rather than the rule.

I didn't become physically dependent outside of having some trouble sleeping. Which was mostly because I was/am still in pain.

I am sure I would be addicted if I took them at a certain level for a extended period of time. I followed the letter of the bottle for the most part and had no issues.

Physically dependant is addicted. You don't have to break into a pharmacy or steal something to become addicted.

So every person I know who messed with the oxy train must of just had bad luck and been in the small percentage who become "addicted" because every one of them did. And not talking just 3 or 4 people

That's just like the makers rope OxyContin claiming the medicine was less addictive when it first came out
