Well, there are several reasons.

1) He received a slap on the wrist when you consider the nature of the crime. He's not even serving a year in prison.

2) He's a wealthy and affluent white male who happens to be attending one of the nation's most prestigious universities on an athletic scholarship. If there was ever an individual alive that would be qualified as "privileged", it's him.

I fully agree with your belief.

The fact is a judge has the ability to make all individuals equal in a court of law. The legal system is intended to express no preference or unequal treatment regardless of race, creed, or monetary status, but sadly, as you pointed out, this is not always so.

I wish they would hex his father too.
