I would assume so. Although the catch is long before my time as well, my peeps have talked about that gator but I don't remember any of the details.

No doubt. Marsh Island and the Pearl River basin have some monsters. I've seen a 14' plus near Pearlington and my uncle has seen 2 that were 16' plus as well.
