The new telescope launches next October. It should provide much better images than Hubble. I think the mirror is 3x larger and it will also be sent into space instead of orbiting the earth which I think provides clearer pictures.

Evidently, the telescope launch is going to be a massive rocket. I think it's the biggest rocket to launch since Apollo. I can't wait. I'm definitely going to drive over the the cape and get a close up view.

My understanding is it will be IR only? I don't the images will be as good as Hubble
