it's not going to be the sparring itself that kicks your arse past the age of 30-35, it's going to be the wear and tear from the constant training to be a worthy sparring partner to those who take the sport seriously. Old Man time is constantly working against you, while he's in favor of the teens and men in their 20's who can train hard 6 days of the week for 2-3 hour sessions. Not that it would ever happen, because a boxing gym isn't going to let some guy off the streets who's been working out at their gym a few weeks spar with someone they are training as an amateur or pro. Plus, you don't want to get in a ring, sparring or not, with a kid that's 18-19 years old and has been boxing since the age of 12. They would hurt you. A lot of the bigger gyms in large cities have a workout regimen that is based on boxing. You could do it at your own pace and not face the injuries a true boxer does.
