Yes, appears to be normal based on the information you provided. Homes with a properly sized HVAC for South LA/south TX use a design criteria of 92 to 94 F outdoor temperature and indoor air temperature of 75 F. If outdoor temperatures exceed 92-94 F an AC will run continuously to try to keep the home near 75 until outdoor temperature begin to drop. Long run times of a couple hours/several hours or longer are not damaging to the system and normal for a properly designed system.

Mine runs constantly, that’s how it was designed. It’s more comfortable that way, instead of a larger unit blowing cold for 15 then off for 15 then dropping 2 degrees then kicking back on.

I refuse to believe you are comfortable while sleeping.

Gets a little chilly actually. Gets down to around 65 at night and I run 2 wind tunnel fans.

Holy shite. I take enough Coumadin to kill a rhinoceros and still keep my thermostats on 71.

I leave for work at 5:30am. My AC is Programmed at 74 degrees between 4am-3:30pm. I get home around 4:30pm and house is perfect. At
3:30pm the program drops it down to 69 to get it going the right direction for bed time.

In the winter time, it’s programed to 74 at 4am till 7:30pm to have house warm when I wake up and have it dropped off a lil while before bed because I can’t sleep with heater on all night. Never liked the program until I figured out how to make it efficient.
