Whats the standard percentage?

3.5% seems low and 350% seems high, so tree fiddy has been disqualified

Is this the kind that comes to you or is it at a car wash? Either $10 or $50.

Why should you tip anything? You receive a service and then pay for it.....end of transaction. Why in the hell does everyone expect a damn tip for doing their job?

Depends on if you think he went above and beyond what you paid him to do.

This. Do you think the $250+ you are paying for a detail is for the supplies they are using that they get in bulk @ wholesale?

Break down the cost per hour after it's done and you'll see they've been tipped plenty.

Ya'll are some frickin suckers.

Is it the owner that did the work or an employee? If it's the owner I wouldn't tip but I would certainly give a tip to an employee.

I think it also depends if the guy is working for someone else or its his own enterprise.

if the guy is employed by someone else and does an outstanding job, I dont see an issue with tip, if there is significant time involved.
