You’re suggesting I can’t defend your straw man comparing fricking McDonald’s to a mover? You really are retarded.
Every McDonald’s I’ve seen is paying 17-18/hr starting out in my area.
5 minutes of prepping and handing food out of a window is not the same as physical labor of moving my shite for 7 hours without damaging it and my home.
What is the point of a tip in your opinion? It can’t be that employees aren’t compensated enough by their employers because you already said it’s not your job.

$300 for two guys that helped move us in. It was July 5th. 95 degrees and 30%+ humidity.

We tipped $50 each guy and bought them lunch, their choice. We would have tipped more but we had a few issues.
This. We moved last year and used the same company that did an amazing move for us before. The previous move they finished early and came in under budget, broke nothing, put furniture together for us. This time they put holes in the walls/doors at both the old and new house, lost a foot on one of our couches, and took nearly an hour and a half to get to the new house that was 10 minutes away (which the company wouldn't remove from the paid hourly time). Company ghosted us after promising to at least fix some of the holes.
So yes, get recent reviews.

You know the answer because counter service historically has been a place where people don't tip. Note that this is unlike movers, where historically people have tipped. Mind blowing, I know.
