Sorry, but you're wrong.

No i'm not wrong. if you are dealing with an agency that does not have any agent producers working for the agency, then you probably aren't dealing with an agent worth too many fricks.

WEll I guess the big commercial agencies like Ellsworth, Pauls, Franks, Laris, etc, have several agents, but the mom and pops only have one agent and they are usually the owner
Yes, this is true, although they're usually just producers and not agents.

But the average Insurance Agency that you see all over the place, the Agent is the owner.

Yes, this isn't wrong.

But most agencies you see, the Agent is the owner who will have a couple of producers working for them.

Do you have to be a licensed agent to be a "producer?" The answer to that question should end this

The agent gets the "appointments" from companies, or the write to sell their products. Producers only have to have a state license to sell insurance.

Joe Frank Insurance Agency with NO producers working for him isn't likely going to have very many company contracts worth too many shits. Probably a mostly surplus lines book of business with a progressive contract.

That's an awfully wordy way of saying producers are agents.

I'm a small agency that's just starting out... I have several , but I've also been at this for a while and have gotten close enough to several reps to make that happen.
