My town is definitely liberal, about as liberal as they come but real estate here is going up in value tremendously so when we sell our house and two rental properties we will do well and retire someplace where the property taxes aren't insane

Liberals can be goofy and you'll never have low taxes, but they usually won't destroy a place. As long as Section 8 and cheap apartments don't invade and I can't attribute those to liberals.

I love it where I am. Live in a rural farming town west of Nashville. People are great, hard working and mind their own biz. The absence of liberal "progressive" retards is a bonus. When I want to see my family, it's a short drive towards the Smoky Mts but far enough where they don't bother me.

I live in Baton Rouge and love it. Just moved to a new neighborhood last year. Lots of green spaces, walking paths and kind of an enclosed neighborhood. As soon as all of the construction stops, it will only get better.

I love it. It's only 32,000 ppl but if feels larger because it's isolated so we have ammenities most towns this size don't have. It's a fantastic food scene, if you're into that and has a couple of breweries including the Alaskan Brewery. It's coastal and mountain, the best of both worlds. Not too cold, it's a temperate rainforest but does get snow and we have a ski area. Lots of heliskiing and adventure sports and world class hiking. Lots of glaciers, and it's close to some fantastic areas like Glacier Bay, Admiralty Island, etc. No roads in, so you gotta fly or float in. Most restaurants per capita in the country, also has more "millionaires" for small cities. It is expensive.

It's very peaceful in the fall, winter and spring. Good quality of life, high standard of living. The scenery is stunning, people are friendly. Wildlife abounds with brown and black bears, whales, wolves, orcas, etc. Great fishing as well. Its not for everyone, but I love it.
