apart from that, as others have noted, the OP would be competing against 100 other candidates, 90% of whom are more qualified (i.e., with more impressive credentials, publications, and teaching experience) than the search committees that were vetting them.

if the OP is truly interested in teaching, consider a local community college. the quality of adjuncts there varies wildly (from poor, broke, hungry recently-minted phds who are brilliant and just havent gotten a tt-position yet to total nincompoops who are just filling a room) and i'm sure they would appreciate someone with practical knowledge and experience in the field.
