By 6:45 AM there will definitely be congestion getting through BR, but it will be moving unless there is a wreck.

If I-10 is still down to one lane at Ramah/Maringouin, then you can either take 190, or take the Rosedale Road (76) from Port Allen to the Ramah exit and get on there after the mess.

If you're past Sherwood Forest before 6am, you're good.

Is it me or is I-10/I-12 traffic East of the bridge a little more tolerable than it has been in the past. I swore off the interstate in about 2008 once I found other roads, and back then it was taking 30 minutes or so eastbound from the I-110/I-10 split to Essen during the PM rush hour.

I took the interstate during the PM rush a few weeks ago and it was less than 20 minutes or to do the same thing.

That being said, trying to cross the river eastbound in the PM is a joke. And it appears that Burbank is starting to back up at Lee during the AM rush hour more than it has in recent years --- with two more big apartment complexes under construction at that intersection.

People still bitch, but since the expansion on 12, it's pretty quick even at peak times.

I'll be coming via I-12 and driving straight through towards Lafayette.

You'll be fine if you hit EBR parish before 7am unless there's an incident. Volume may be heavy after 630 or so but not stopped. I would still check your traffic apps and bypass using airline to 190 and such if necessary.

As long as you're through Br by 7 you won't have any major issues. It will slow down at 10/12 by College exit, but nothing worse leaving any earlier to avoid.
