Jesus Christ... We have an anesthesiologist pissing about not getting paid hazard pay...

A contract salary that’s probably 4xs the average ICU RN...

Thanks for your service, I work in the ICU and the physicians literally only go into the rooms for lines or to intubate. Not bitching, just the truth baw

I’m starting to lose admiration for these nurses and starting to feel resentful towards them.

Then what you need to do is go out and find the sickest COVID patient you can find and then get a few inches away from their face and stick your fingers in their mouth and then do the same thing each half hour.

After all that the difference between you and the nurses will come down to the fact that you wouldn’t lose your job if you refused to do it.

But guess what? You would never voluntarily do what they are doing all shift.

No, but it’s like playing on battlefield with a biological agent. We’d damn sure get it if we were playing in the big sandbox with MOPP gear on

The people getting upset about the attention healthcare workers are getting are far more annoying than any of the healthcare workers I know

I’ve never been more proud of my mom than I have been this month for going to New York to help out.

As much as people want to claim it’s some elaborate hoax I can tell you it’s at least fricking real there. Long exhaustive hours and like 3 straight weeks without a day off. She posts updates on Facebook fairly often because hundreds of people ask her how she’s doing but I’m sure some of y’all would see that as attention-whoring and become resentful.

And no, they didn’t have years of training for this. My mom has worked in an ER for decades and she said has never seen anything remotely like it. People coding constantly throughout the day, all of her patients are on vents, freezer trucks, having to set up FaceTime for dying patients that haven’t been able to see their families in weeks.

There are hundreds of thousands of nurses in this country. Just because some made Tik-Toks doesn’t mean others don’t deserve all of the damn love in the world from people, companies, commercials, etc. while they travel across the country to be away from family for a couple of months to help save some lives.

lol
You are getting butthurt about someone insulting doctors not going into rooms. Which is true. I have seen CRNAs and anesthesiologist refuse to intubate a covid pt.
Grow up.
