My parents apologized to me in my adulthood also, Roger. I told them that I didn't blame them, they did the best that they could. Indeed, I was given many wonderful things by my parents. It was a different mindset back then. I just could not understand how such kind people would think corporal punishment was a good idea.

Fair enough. So do you plan to mete out any negative consequences for poor behavior?

I don't mean to imply that I am against any form of punishment. Definitely not. I just like the idea of cause correction, and mitigating how much the child is hurt, whether it's psychological, emotional, or physical. Maybe I am too idealistic, but that's the way I feel for now.
