How do I sell a vehicle out of state?

The buyer will not be here personally so this will have to be done via Fedex for documents. Buyer is in North Carolina.

If you have to have any signatures notarized, then you will each have to have them notarized in your individual parish/county.

I think Louisiana has a Bill of Sale form on the DMV website.

Sign the required documents, title and FedEx the forms to the buyer.

Make sure your bill of sale states "AS IS."

Don't forget to keep your license plate.

In all honesty, and just checking to be sure, please tell us you're not selling to a currently deployed service member who is buying sight unseen and using a shipping service....
