I've been doing some research, looks like a pretty cool spot. Thinking about the Two-Story rooftop suites. But should i spend the extra money on the Excellence club perk or just the Standard Two Story rooftop suite w/out the private pool and bar perk. TIA

I've just booked my honeymoon at the Excellence Playa Mujares. I would also be interested on any feedback as well. Did a lot of research and it seems phenomenal.

Excellence Playa Mujares.

Went a few years ago and it was great. Also a great value. Food was pretty darn good, facilities were very nice. Pools were awesome. Really had no complaints whatsoever. If I could get the wife to travel to Mexico we would have gone back by now. That area of the country is safe compared to the border or west coast.

I stayed in excellence punta Cana. It's worth spending the extra for the club price.

I have been twice in the last three years. If you are going when the weather is hotter, i would not recommend getting the rooftop. It will be hot as hell up there during the day. I would get the swim up instead. Every room has its own hot tub also. The best lunch is usually what they are serving on the beach. Dinner wise, most of us loved the habachi and sushi. There are all kinds of places to eat, so try everything. We were there for the Saints/Packers opener and LSU/Oregon game. They put on a party inside with a host, food, and drinks while we were watching the games. They did this for free.

If you go to punta cana, bring some serious mosquito dope. It's only bad in the evenings and early mornings. Bring the spray, no problems. That's my only complaint bout the resort.

Most resorts you don't have to worry about dangerous situations.

Been to 3 resorts in cancun area and also st lucia.
Excellence playa mujeres is number 2 on my list. Only reason number 2 behind secretsin cancun is it didnt have a bar and tki huts on the beach. I posted up shop under a tiki about 5' from beach bar every morning till dark and they lost money on me if u know what i mean

Went there for my honeymoon (Playa Mujeres). Amazing place, in my opinion the Excellence club is not worth the money. We had a swim up room with a pool and hot tub that serviced about 10 rooms, very private when you wanted it. The main martini bar was great with live music every night. There's a secret Hibachi room in the Japanese restaurant. Stayed at the Dreams this year and it couldn't even come close to comparing.

Stay at Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro instead of Excellence in PC. It is first class all around. Went there for Honeymoon in Dec 2012. Wife and I have been all over the Caribbean (Cancun, Cabo, PV, Bahamas, Jamaica, Playa, Aruba, St Lucia, Etc...) and we thought it was the best all inclusive resort we have been too. Le Blanc in Cancun is top notch also.

I did this a year ago. It was great. Do the excellence club 2. Story suite. It was badass. Top-shelf booze, private pool, jacuzzi, bed on top floor outside. You get anything you want at anytime. Had a blast.
