If you want to feel better some sort of workout. I workout by myself but if you want to be with people I like the yoga idea more that crossfit. Crossfit would just suck.

If you want something to do fishing or maybe golf. I play tons of golf but wouldn't recommend it to everyone. It is a great way to piss yourself off and hurt your back if you suck.

I joined a boxing gym about a year ago and man is it awesome. My gym mixes in punching the bag with pushups/situps/burpees etc in 3 minute 'rounds' with 1 minute off. Killer workout, and there is a good group of people who do it at my gym.

Something to think about

I've been thinking about joining a boxing/kickboxing/muay thai gym. How often do you get blasted in the head?

I don't do a full contact one; it's much more a cardio workout that i don't get beat up. The only contact is with the heavy bag (aside from when you go into the ring with the instructor for a round where he makes you feel slow)

Find some kind of artwork that gives you pleasure...
Woodworking, Painting, Sculpting.

I've been on a bit of a gardening kick as well.

Any kind of physical activity is good for the mind and body.

Also, charity work makes you feel good about yourself. Become a Big Brother. You will get just as much out of it as the one you mentor.

I want to say thanks to everybody. Yesterday I did something I wasn't proud of and even thinking about it was so wrong. I started to think about my grandma and if I did that it would honestly kill her.

I appreciate the input guys. I got a nice list of things to put an idea too. The wood working would be perfect but I don't have that type of equipment.. I need to build a desk for my set up. It was to much of a pain to get my old one into the new house

I've been looking for activities to fill up free time too. I found myself spending too much time on the couch or face down on my phone surfing TD or facebook.

Many great suggestions have been offered. I didn't see volunteering mentioned.

I'd suggest looking for areas to help your community. You meet people and can choose an area of interest.

Anything from Habitat for humanity, Red Cross, local park/ river cleanup to helping with dogs/ cats at a shelter. Many towns have a website that lists needs.

You can take classes without actually going full contact. It's a great way to get in shape.
