German?
Can't think of the name but weren't they used to bomb Paris?
Darth got it. Was also known as "Big Bertha."

I think that's some sort of gas dispenser?

Well actually. The Big Berta was this gun...
She was a big beast, but not near as big as the Paris Gun.

Ahhh. She was one of the largest single engine aircraft of the war. The Germans used it mostly as a recon aircraft if I remember correctly. I can't think of it's name to save my life.

Thanks for straightening me out, Darth.

Will let the plane stay just a bit longer.
This one is sure to stump some (although Darth should get it...)
What is it/who used it?

I'd be telling a lie if I said I've ever seen this. I'm going to make a guess and say it's some sort of early experiment by Walter Christie.

Here is another... let's see if a miracle can happen and Darth can be stumped two in a row.

That was an Italian mobile howitzer if I remember correctly.
Posted on 7/28/14 at 11:59 am to Darth_Vader
Darth doesn't disappoint. It was the Italian Iron Horse mobile gun unit, 305mm. Used to shell the Austrian fortifications in the Alps.

Fousgas?
Phosgene. The very same gas that you'd get should you burn the coolant in your fridge.

Yes, but I expected you to get it exacly right about 30 seconds after it was posted. It's called a Livens projector. It was a crude mortar originally used to deliver flaming oil barrels and later improved to deliver all types of projectiles but it is most famous as a very effective gas dispenser.
