That the first ever armored car named "war Car". It was pre-WWI around 1901 - 1903.

Don't know #1.
2. Germany
3. It's the insignia for the Germans fighting in the Spanish Civil War (the Condor Legion)
Bonus: The BF109(A?)

Yep. It's called the Simms Motor War Car (1900). Pretty novel idea for its time, I guess.

Close. It was a Henschel HS123. The markings are Nationalist Spain and it was made in German. It was a dive bomber/ground attack aircraft. It was replaced by this...
Despite this, it fought on until pretty late in the war.

Ah, the JU-87 Stuka...
Yep. The JU-87 was the replacement for the HS123 but they did not retire it until 1944.

Good plane.
What is this? Designed for? What plane did it replace and why?

Messerschmidt ME 210 or 410 (I can't tell which one from this pic)

Originally a heavy fighter or "destroyer" later modified for everything from ground attack to night fighter.

If it's the 210, it replaced the 110 because the 110 had proven too vulnerable to more maneuvable single engine fighters to fulfill it's role as a heavy fighter.
If it's a 410 it replaces the 210 because the 210 was a turd with wings.

First part is fairly easy:
What vessel is this
What caused the damage
What is/was the final fate

I remember this happened just a few years ago. It's the USS San Francisco. She collided with an underwater sea mount. I've not heard anything about her since. I guess they repaired her?

She had just refueled the reactor.
They ended decommissioning the USS Honolulu and cutting off the bow/sonar dome and installing it on the San Fran
CSB: The sub I was stationed on was in Guam when the San Fran pulled in. It was a terrifying sight. The crew looked like they had gone to hell and back.
They hit the mountain going at flank speed and instantly came to a stop.

I'd imagine that' would scare the living shite out of anyone... especially if you're already underwater when it happens.

No doubt... I think I would have instantly needed a new set of clothes.

good morning.
That's the German sub U-505 and what's happening there is she's just been captured by the US Navy.
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the start of WWI, I'm going to try and focus on that time period today....
1. Make & Country of Origin
2. Who designed this weapon?
3. What is historically significant about this weapon?
