STOP TAKING UP FOR CRIMINALS!
How about, obey the law don't resist arrest, & do what the police tell you and you don't have to worry about being shot?
Now our police officers are going to have to wait to be be shot at themselves before taking action.

I don't believe the man randomly attacked the cop. I think the cop is lying to cover his arse.

Innocent until proven guilty huh?
Just because a white cop was involved you make this out to be a race thing. You sir, are part of why racism still exists in America today. It's always someone else's fault.

Like actually be in fear of their lives? Isn't that supposed to be the rule already?

A 7 year old girl in Detroit disagrees with your not being worried about being shot, along with a slew of other innocent people.

If you're actively wrestling a cop, yes.

Why do you have a hard time believing unarmed suspects will fight police officers? It happens thousands of times a day all over the country. They get caught, run and then fight when they are caught. They don't want to go to jail, but they won't stop committing crimes.

Please quote me where I said one word about race. One word.
BTW my grandfather was a police officer. Killed in the line of duty in Jackson, Miss. He was white (as am I), perp was black. Hung within 30 days of incident. You really should stop assuming things that you know nothing about.

Nah, I have a career to uphold. But feel free to follow the news without an opinion for yourself like the rest of the sheep. Hope you're not caught with your pants down when they turn on you.

He probably was in fear for his life.

I don't know about this random incident you are bringing up, but apparently there is a lot more to that story. They didn't purposely kill a 7 year old girl.

It's just convenient for him to say that. He knows the game and will say whatever necessary to save his own skin.

Yet you still defend criminals. You seem very bright.

Just as an fyi, that's generally the rule in the military, you can't fire at someone in self defense until they fire at you. Why is it different for cops?

You're race baiting. I don't give a shite if you're black or white, and i'm sorry about your grandfather, but you have already shown that you don't believe the officer. Why doesn't he deserve a chance?
Instead of waiting for the facts and evidence to come out you've already made up your mind. Why not take a step back and evaluate the situation with an unbiased mind?

I try to avoid the news.. It's pretty one sided ...Plus I'm pretty sure I let my own opinion known so you didn't comprehend.

Makes zero sense to this discussion

After he harassed him,
The cop was responding to a call and the SUV matched the description.
quote:
chased him to his apartment
They were never at his actual apartment.
quote:
engaged him in the doorway in a scuffle
Again, wasn't his doorway and how do you know the cop engaged him?
quote:
and didn't know what he was trying to get out of his pocket
And this is what led to this....
quote:
,then he feared for his life and shot him twice in the "torso".
quote:
The victim had a bottle of oxycodone in his pocket.Aparrantly the victim was also carrying a sack of fast-food for his kids because there were fries scattered on the porch.
Seems like a swell guy. I mean, he's just running drugs less than 100ft from where his kids sleep. Father of the fricking year.
