There are Ospreys on the base in BC that have been conducting training exercises at night. Not sure if they made it all the way to Baton Rouge or not, but it’s probably them

Those Ospreys make some racket. You can feel them from miles away.

I was out riding around the LSU lakes and about 8:30 saw a green light/orb sort of slingshot across the entirety of the sky. It didn’t look like any meteor I’ve ever seen. It looked lower and kind of eased or ramped up speed to what easily could have been 1,000 mph or more. And I’ve seen my fair share of Harriers at about the same height as this going 7-800mph so I have some ability to estimate speed.

In hindsight it could have been a lone meteor taking an odd trajectory or maybe some light show LSU was doing that I know nothing about.

Either way it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

There is a big training exercise underway they are flying 200 feet off the ground etc all over Mobile area too
