Its really odd the extreme weather hits around conferences and missions whose focus is global warming.
Around two years ago they had a severe snowstorm that essentially isolated them in a hotel near one of their pretend conferences and many ended up not being able to attend. Then they have a global warming research ship that was frozen in up in Canada. An ice-breaker came to their rescue and it got frozen in also. Then a larger ice-breaker was sent and it took twice the amount of time than it normally would to free them. Now this. Its like God is laughing at them.

When it gets colder, that's global warming and when it gets hot that too is global warming. It is a case of thermodynamics made easy!
