re: Have you ever evaded an arrest/ticket?

Escaped the cops a few times in high speed chases back in the mid eighties. My buddy was a highly ranked SCCA driver with a boxy looking toyota corolla that could take a turn like you wouldn't believe. We had a course laid out through this neighborhood in Shreveport and when we'd get chased, we'd duck in there and absolutely dust the cops off like they weren't there. Got to watch one that tried too hard lose it in a turn and end up in these peoples yard upside down. Another one did the same thing in the same turn a few months later and nailed a parked car. Had they ever gotten close enough to get our license plate number I'd probably still be in jail. We eventually grew out of it and stopped provoking them but after that second one they were serious about catching him and figured out who he was. It wasn't going to take them much longer to block that hood off once we ducked in there and stop us so it was time.

They were NOT HAPPY with that little brown shite box of a car at all.
