We want to, we got lots of kids.

but going all out on decorations is just a waste of time and money, IMO.

Thanksgiving is far and away the best holiday.

I don’t care if everyone skips ahead to Christmas, I don’t.

Then don’t bitch about it being “a lot of work.”

All over sure. You saw a couple and now we have forgotten the greatest holiday for food and football. No chance.

I put my Christmas lights up yesterday because it was a sunny and 50 degree day in mid-November in the upper Midwest. You take advantage of that. Better than waiting until after Thanksgiving and putting them up in the freezing cold and possibly snow.

I also love Thanksgiving and it's one of my favorite holidays.

Decorating for Christmas doesn’t mean skipping Thanksgiving. It’s my favorite holiday too but I don’t think having the Christmas tree up in the living room is going to take anything away from that. It’s a pain in the butt putting decorations out, why not enjoy them for more than a few weeks?

Retail is set up to try and get you to spend money and they use Christmas to do that. It doesn’t mean you have to be sucked into it and putting decorations out early shouldn’t have any effect on it either. I put lights up and the tree. I haven’t spent money on any extra decorations since I bought my house.

Some of ya’ll are being dramatic. Do you personally know a bunch of people that are just “skipping” Thanksgiving? I don’t think so. It’s still the best holiday but you’re a Scrooge if you let Christmas decorations upset you for Thanksgiving.
