I was in the same boat, got two adult males from the shelter at the same time because they got along there. Got them home, neutered one of them and the other would just destroy him every day until I got the other neutered, then it flipped again. I ended up finding another home for Bishop and kept Ziggy. Great dogs but they just couldn't get along.
