The videos on YT are incredible displays of stupidity which makes them fascinating. Can't imagine having the money to buy some of these boats and not know how to drive one. YT has tons of videos.

Yeah I love the videos. Looks like it can be pretty treacherous with the tide going in and out

I'm hooked on these videos. I catch myself saying, "don't do it dumbass" a lot.

The SeeVees, NorTechs, HCBs, and Midnight Express's always come out for the win. Then you have the 17' Boston Whaler that plows through with no problem.

Love those videos. Some 45 foot midnight express will bury its nose and then the “black top legend” rips through in his little BW.
On a similar note, The Qualified Captain is another social media must follow. Love me some boat ramp champs

Inlets like Haulover and Jupiter produce treacherous conditions when the tide is running out and the there are moderate to strong easterly winds. The current running out compresses the period between the waves rolling in and you get a higher frequency of wave addition. If you catch a wave adding peak on peak you're in for a rough time.

You can tell who doesn't know what they're doing just by speed and where their passengers are located. The video from a few days ago had a dad near the bow holding his toddler in one hand and beer in the other while the captain tip toes his 24' yamaha through. Kid is lucky to be alive but doesn't have a chance in life with his dad's decision making skills.
Then you have a 40' fountain that could chew through the inlet but instead the captain takes it at idle doing everything he can to sink it.

I have been to most on the inlets from Jupiter, FL and South. You better know what you are doing at any of them.

I watched Wavy Boats do a live feed and he mentioned it's only like that maybe 2 hours a day kn average, most of the time its relatively calm. I watch his videos all the time, it proves to me that having money doesn't mean you know how to handle a boat.

I saw one were they they had an out of shape 60ish year old woman riding on the front of the center console of Key West in the 28' range with dual outboard and they hit one of the steep waves and she flew up and crashed to the deck of the boat. She might be dead.

I would think the only guarantee would be that an older person in a shitty boat knows how to handle it. Too many wanna be captains out there with more money than sense to think a nice boat equals a veteran captain.

Of all the big center consoles the Midnight Express impresses me the least. SeeVees seem to crush it every time regardless of size.

Boats vs Haulover channel on Youtube is pretty good. And the "Boneheaded boaters of the week" videos on Broncos Guru channel

This one is similar, guy probably has brain damage.
What the hell is he doing up there?
Also boggles my mind that kids won’t have life jackets on in these videos. I’m not a life jackets all the time kinda guy, but for 5-10 minutes through chop like that? That’s borderline child endangerment.
