Is anybody here published? How did you get started? How hard is it to have a book published? Do you just basically pay the money and you are guaranteed a publication?

Ya you can pay to have a book published, I helped my grandmother do it 7-8 years ago. Essentially she had written a bunch of historical essays and got me to help her type up / combine them and send it off to the company and then paid for X number of copies to give out to friends / family.
