I see there is a lot of drainage work being done at the new Harveston Development. Hundreds of catch basins and thousands of feet of drainage pipe it looks like. Anyone know any real updates on this area?

They need a way to get more water running through there for all the meth related fire incidents.

Purchaser: The property was acquired by West Village Development CDL LLC, a company based in Covington, LA

Location: The 43-acre site is situated near the intersection of Nicholson Drive and Bluebonnet Boulevard.

Context: The land is located near Harveston, an 1,800-acre master-planned community being developed by Wampold Companies.

Current Status: As of January 2026, phases of the Harveston development, such as West Village - Harveston Phase 1A, are moving forward under the jurisdiction of the newly formed City of St. George.

I heard the stuff going on now is for a neighborhood and not part of the retail plan.
