This is what I did in 2008:

I went to the concierge of my hotel (think it was Monte Carlo), and he hooked me up with a tour.

They picked me up at about 6 am. Drove me to a little airport. Took a puddle jumper plane with about 12-15 others to the Grand Canyon (flew over Hoover Dam). Then took a helicopter from GC airport to the canyon itself, and dive bombed to the bottom--which was freaking AWESOME. Then we got on a boat and motored up river about 2 or three miles and floated back with the current.

There was also time to walk around, take pics, eat a bit of lunch. then the process was reversed.

Cost about $400 in 2008. I would do it again, even though I was the only caucasian American English speaker.

Done this a couple of times.. Once with a viper and once with a lambo, you can rent them from a place on the strip

Best money you will ever spend, better know where to fill up, they are far few in-between
