I'm really no help. I can sleep on anything...at nearly anytime. A couple of weeks ago when you came home early, I slept under your bed for about 3 hours... close!

I still love the Tuft and Needle mattress we got almost 2 years ago. My back loves it as well.

With those mattresses in a box.....do you need to buy a box spring as well as the mattress or just the mattress?

We just have the mattress. But we have a bed frame that doesn't need a box spring on it. It's been fine.
If you want really soft mattress...Tuft and Needle isn't for you. We got that one cause it is a little more firm. Perfect if you have back issues.
ETA: The price is great as well. You get 100 days to try it. If you don't like it you get a full refund and they will come pick it up and donate your mattress to a local shelter.

We already have a frame that I'm pretty sure was custom made for a box spring..I may have to see if we can get by without a box....

That is new, not familiar with it. They didn't have those when we got ours. Looks like upgraded version of original.
And T&N mattresses you could put on a box spring if you want.
I don't find the original one to be too hot at all fwiw. But knowing my husband....if the mint one was available when we shopped for ours...he would have gotten that one.
