I haven't stayed home sick in over 6 months (exception being scheduled PTO for outpatient surgery). Would have stayed home last 2 days at work but had a big quarterly data presentation I had to finish for my department first. Even my boss yesterday told me to stay home today cause I looked so sickly.
Get a better job with better benefits I guess? I have 40 hours of sick time and 130 hours of PTO I can use if I run out of sick time. Also have over 500 hours of extended leave I can use for extended illnesses/injuries/etc.

I’m one of those assholes that goes to work sick. I only take off for horse shows 
In my defense, half the time I’m the only one there and if I do take off my phone rings off the damn hook and I end up working all day anyway
