It was really bad the first 3 days.I wouldn't have made it if I hadn't brought some of my own.The same thing they were giving me.4 mg Dilaudid.I wouldn't count on them to keep you out of pain.
When I got to the Rehab on Day 4 I suffered for 2 days because of a young RN being 2 hrs late with my pain pill.I didn't have anymore of my own.
The Physical Therapist asked me what was wrong.I told her they were letting me suffer.She went to the Administrator.For the rest of that day they were following me around with pain pills.
Then they increased it to 4 mg of Dilaudid every 4 hours.I was ok from then on.
It definitely gave me a new definition of pain.
eta: I had it on Nov. 9th and my knee hurts less now than it did before the surgery.
If I hit it on something or fell it would be a different story though.
