He's not the one I'm worried about. He just sits and chills in the kayak and takes a nap. The lab...not so much. He loves the water...I think being on TOP of the water in a boat he doesn't care for. I've never brought the tandem one out by myself as well so we will see how this goes(it's much heavier than my single one).

Ahh...I had a Tahoe deck boat for a few years and I loved that boat as it gave me the best of both worlds. I could just float with a dozen of my closest friends or I could pull the kids and let them kneeboard/wakeboard. Unfortunately, the wife made me get rid of it when the two little ones came along as she said she wouldn't be getting back out on the water for quite a while. Of course she said that I could still go and take whomever...yeah, I'm that stupid.
