Good Morning gents,

Just received my complimentary pat down courtesy of TSA. "Back of the hand, back of the hand."
Ready to get away from flood water and dive some clear water. Hope y'all have a great week without me.

And my flight's delayed. Hopefully we can rebook and get into NOLA instead of going thru Atlanta to Baton Rouge.

Supposed to be LAX-ATL-BTR. We're hoping LAX-NOLA. Cut down on flight time and not have to change planes with a 2 year old.

I made friends with the pilot of this AF1. Where you at? We'll come through and pick you up.

Hey NoHo
White knuckle flyer? Safe travels.
Are you coming in for an OTGT? Let's do it
Hit me up with the details, if so.

Scoob, Clear water and throw in a big party all day on a sandbar sounds awesome.

ETA: EYW? You sob. I'd take that or SRQ about now.

No, kept getting interrupted by my dad calling. Then it was time to leave for work.

I'll deal with it when I wake up later this afternoon.

My dad is all freaked out.....they thought they had the date/stamp thing set on my sister's camera when they took pics of the damage Tuesday....,nope. It shows the date stamp when you view pics on the actual camera....but won't print with date or show date on a computer. My dad is not tech savvy at all either so I had to get him to calm down.

Morning Nurse
Pretty sure you can get all kinds of apps to make the date stamp print on the pic.

I've got to do the same thing.

I can understand his concerns, but I don't think that he'll have his claim denied because of a date/time stamp issue.

I've dealt with flood damage twice, though, so I know how terribly stressful it can be.

They took the pics with my sister's digital camera. Trying to explain how to download an app on a phone would be too complicated for my dad and mentally challenged sister.

I mean.....it shows the date on the camera when you play back the pics there. Worst case.....couldn't you take another camera to take a pic of the pic on the camera.

And.....from what I'm reading about the FEMA inspections.....are they needing the pics?

From what I understand, as time goes by, the pics become more important for proof of loss.

Especially if their ruined stuff goes to the dump before an inspector arrives.

They should back them to a hardrive, a cd and the cloud, if able.

I'll get my cousin to help them with that. I finally just told my dad to leave the camera alone....didn't want them accidentally deleting pics

Oh sorry--I don't think that I'd caught that. I would assume that this is for FEMA then?

I didn't have flood insurance for a couple of years, but the snow melts the past couple of years make that a risky prospect. I'm near Denver.

Just got the confirmation, going to MSY. White knuckle does not begin to describe my flying. I'm better than I used to be, but still an anxious flyer. Thought we were going to have to drive. How sad is it I was looking more forward to 28 hours in theories than 3 1/2 hours in the air.

Bully: coming to help our folks with final clean up and finding a place to live. Plus we get to see the family for a couple of weeks.

Good idea. My dad has gone to show me pics from somewhere and they are all magically gone.
