I'm a closet NASCAR fan. It's kind of part sport part soap opera. I never thought I could be a fan, but just started watching one year.

I am too. Interesting comment about "part soap opera". A large percentage of the fans don't even know what soap is. But they are good folks, irregardlessly. Like Bama. He is just SO sensitive, especially when he drinks...which is pretty much non-stop.

I can't watch 2 minutes of a race on TV, but in person is a different story. I was dragged kicking and screaming to Martinsville about 10 years ago by a friend, and thoroughly enjoyed it when I got there. The atmosphere is the difference maker.
I've only been twice, but would again if I had the opportunity and the time.
