My favorite NBA player ever .. because I was 12 when he did his work in 99-00

One of my favorite sports cards is a 99-00 Topps Chrome or Finest Refractor Vince Carter RC.

Love the pic

I always thought you were several years younger than me.

Nope.

Mind of a child and body of a muscular 20yr (hairy though) but pushing 40. I look better naked imo.

I guess so. Also mind blown on MS being in her mid 40's. The way everyone talked to her as the matron of the LT I always assumed she was mid to late 50's.

Why do you have brown shag carpet on your forearms? Wreck padding?

Because I lift, BJJ and improve my cardio.

I'm a man, I'm almost 40.

yes, all 8 of us went to WDW in 2022

We were supposed to go during Mardi Gras but the oldest wanted to go, too, so we went during LSU’s spring break

We also went in 2009 (when we only had three kids), 2011 (four kids), and 2015 (five kids)

*2015 we did universal too, in 2023 we went to Volcano Bay only

I can only imagine how expensive that was but what an experience!

Turns out my true blue whiting was sitting on the Orphingtons egg. Disappoint.

in 2022 - we rented a condo in Kissimmee. Which was cheaper than a hotel - cooked breakfast at the condo and ate lunch at the parks - there wasn’t character dining yet, so I’m pretty sure we only ate quick service. For dinner we’d either cook or grab pizza/burgers from a local place. We did it cheaply well as cheap as you can. Although we do not bring our own snacks in bc I hate carrying all that stuff. I’ll buy the kids an $8 churro bc I don’t want to carry anything

Right! Disney ain't cheap but it is awesome imo.

I spent 10k for 4 days but we did stay at the bougie Grand Floridian.

Don't regret it because that place was nice AF for my trashy arse. But you can for much cheaper.

I have to imagine a family of 8 easily pushes 8K between flights and stuff.

we drove, there’s no way to justify the costs of flights for 8 ppl

Plus we’d have our car with us and can drive wherever we want

Where did you guys end up staying?

I forget the name but there is a nice resort right by Magic Kingdom (not as close as the Grand Floridian) but you are able to see the fireworks etc plus has amtrac service to 2 parks.

I think the next trip that is where we will stay. Much cheaper.

I used to watch the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday (?)nights... Before pixels came to be in televisions.

I don't remember many of them though. I do remember, Charlie The Lonesome Cougar...

That sure sounds pathetic...

The Contemporary? Has the monorails going through the lobby?

I have always like the Carribean when I've gone with mini AS, especially with the skyliners. Get pretty easy access to those parks and can ferry or monorail to MK from Epcot or take the bus. Coronado and Port Orleans are good as well but mini AS loves the skyliner and being able to just walk on and go from the Carribean was nice. Especially comparing it to when we stayed at the Polynesian and it saved like $2500 for the 5 nights we stayed.
