I need advice from the ot people before I post it elsewhere.
How would you go about trying to respectfully give/ get guns from your now moms house. My dad accumulated quite a few firearms. I have shot, hunted and harvested many things with him while he was here with us. He of course and has passed and my mother couldn't tell you a 243 to a 410. My brother has limited knowledge and care for them. I don't want to step on toes by taking them all

ask her if she wants the guns and if so which ones? That way you are allowing her to make the decision.

right as he's about to PIIHB he coos in her ear "now that you have this gun you won't mind if I take dad's guns off of your hands do you?

She doesn't know what is what with any of it. She doesn't know their worth and or significance. I've taken a Henry 22 he bought for me and a Shotgun that's worth more than I care to think about . There's more than 5 firearms that are worth a lot of money.

check with your bro first too

Tell her that all firearms need periodic care and neglect will lessen the value and functionality over time. Also mention your Dad would not have wanted his collection to fall into a state of disrepair and he would be pleased to see them being cared for the way he did.

Is she your mom or is she a stepmom?
Posted on 6/18/24 at 9:42 am to Bama and Beer
right, and if you ask her respectfully she will probably say take them, I have no use for them.
