Oaklawn and Hot Springs are legit

I think your perceptions of Arkansas is the podunk area's outside of like the 3 nice cities in Arkansas.

Now keep in mind, my family is from Verda, La. Nothing but 5th wheels as houses for miles and miles, so it's not like La is some great state compared to Arkansas

But West Little Rock (the rich side) is nice, Hot springs is really nice and then so is Bentonville minus the tranny parades.

let's just say, if we were made to go camping I'd drive to a hotel and stay there and possibly day visit but be bored out of my mind.

We did eat at Luna Bella twice while we were there though.

Lil miss08 went to camp Ozark in the Ouachita Forrest and I drove up there to get her and I tell you what Arkansas is a beautiful state.

I also drove through on my way to Omaha last summer and saw some beautiful landscape.

Yes that area is really nice, we've stayed in the area several times with my cousin and his wife. He's the regional director of Hershey and works with that Walmart in Bentonville

and Yes, Hot springs Village (HSV) has like 10 golf courses, several lakes and hiking trails, ect.

it's basically where rich people go to retire

I've heard that place is really good

We don't really get out of West Little Rock much these days, it's probably been 2 years or so since we drove over to hot springs.

wife got kicked out of the horse races and I almost fought oaklawn security and like 10 cops, it was not a good day

inevitably she is like me and did not want to do half the daily shite they do.

what did she do?

We had to cancel some bourbon tours and a race day in Louisville a couple of years ago. The bourbon tours refunded. Churchhill Downs not so much.

yeah we were there about 10 years ago. Only thing I was impressed with is the downtown hot spring exhibit showing how hot the water is.

My idea of extreme camping is a cabin in an area with no hotels. But real beds/plumbing/hvac/a full kitchen are all mandatory.

HSV might be a good place for a summer home one day with the tennis and lakes. No interest in Arkansas winters.

I love outdoor play during the day but I must insist on a bed and AC to sleep at night.

Morning peeps

anti natural state
I won't stand for Arky hate. NWA is awesome. The White and Buffalo have been favorites of mine since I was a mini AS. While Southern Arkansas, West Memphis, and Crime Bluff have earned reputations there are some diamonds in those areas. Mystic Creek is one of my favorite tracts, and there are a lot of ducks and geese in the sloughs off the Ouachita north of the Felsenthal gates. All said and done though I've probably spent the most time fishing, rafting, hiking, and small bird hunting between Eureka and Bull Shoals, and that area is untapped and perfect that way.
