I used to travel 90% for work and took as many as 4 flights in 1 day. In one month we had 2 emergency landings and one non-emergency landing on 1 engine. Went to get on a plane one day after all that and just couldn’t do it. Had my first ever full blown panic attack.
I used to have to take Xanax for days leading up to flying and 4-5 mg of Xanax 2 hours before flight. Now I’m fine before but still need 2-3 mg of Xanax to fly which means I never fly alone anymore. I basically fall asleep right after boarding and wake up wherever we are going.

I told y’all it takes me an elephant’s dose for me to fly. I basically have to be knocked out during the flight. Crazy part is all that happened right before our adoption and I had to fly round trip to Russia 3 times.

What’s that look for? Xanax is heavily controlled in Texas. My doctor is only allowed to prescribe me so much and pharmacist will only agree to fill so much. Controlled drug users have a state score that goes up or down based on any increases or decreases in controlled drug prescriptions filled. If that score drops too low the doctors and pharmacists get in trouble with the state and can even have their license pulled.
I do not ever request or fill any narcotic bc it will impact my score. Getting through kidney stones and infections without pain meds is an arse kicking but I won’t get any extra like that filled bc it means my monthly prescriptions would be in jeopardy.

I hear you, I’m rx’d 30 .25mg a month which is weak sauce I know, but that’s all I need or want. I could get more if I wanted but choose not to. And I’m not on auto refill so I have to go into my portal and request a refill every month.
My ole lady has a script pad and she refusing to write any narcotics for us unless she can justify it.
They watch them like a hawk.
