Good morning.
The "woman gets away in the woods solo" thread irritates me. If you are prepared, there is nothing creepy or scary about being in a remote area solo. I do it all the time. I really enjoy being out in the country by myself. You just have to have some sense about it. I take weapons and dogs, especially if I'm going off into public land. I let the ranch manager know where I'm going. I make sure I have cold weather gear.
The dogs give you an alert and are more for making sure a puma or bear doesn't sneak up than for protection against some person.
Unexpected weather or an accident are the big issues, not the "creepiness."
Sorry about the soapbox.

Say I’m going to need a professional pilot rating on this Christy Wong lady.

The way most on this board handle anything to do with women should be taken with a grain of salt. I see there was a lot of women hating on here yesterday

Would you ride in a small plane with someone who did not use a checklist? Get in and go would be the best description.
I'm not talking about a high hour pilot either.

I don't agree. I find it spooky and creepy for women and men. I see zero difference based on gender. If you are prepared, you are prepared. I know women who could absolutely handle it and men who absolutely could not. I agree with you on gender not being the issue, preparedness is. But it is still spooky/creepy to me

The usual. I glanced at a few threads last night then decided to read a book

Squirrel, the creepy woods make for great spooky stories, so I’ve got no problem

Thank you. A friend offered me a ride in his 172. No check around the plane and no checklist. I didn't go.
He apparently thinks that checklists are for wimps.
