Lagavulin (11 Year Old should be in that price range) for scotch is a favorite in our family.

T00f is going to know high end bourbon more than I do. We usually stay around the $50 bottles

I bought this recently and it's excellent and a bit of a change from other standard fare. The distiller is Barrell and they are the best at blended bourbon and ryes and this shows up very well.

Since I don't drink either I like birddog bourbon and knockmore irish whiskey because dogs on label Aspy!
