Agree, this should happen asap. There is a silver lining here saint, situation could have been much worse. Fortunately you were able to hit bottom and check yourself without killing someone via DWI. Get help bro. Seriously.

Man I'm just going to slack off on the drinking for a minute.
Last time something like this happened I woke up with a black eye and my gf of the time reminded me that I got in a fight and I didn't remember it at all. That time I put down the booze completely for several months.
I'm in my 30s drinking and fighting like a teenager. It's such a shame.

You'll be drinking in a week. This self pity right now seems like an act

No man I feel really embarrassed. Maybe it will blow over after I apologize.
The guy I fought was a nice guy and he said he knew me from back in the day buy I couldn't recall meeting him before.
I know at one point we were talking politics and he was pretty liberal but in no means were we getting in any heated debates.... shame shame

Let's be real, it's going to be damn near impossible to be in the city during Carnival and not drink. Stick to beer only perhaps?
I only speak from experience. Tequila and I have had some rough nights. I hate bud light but it allowed me to stay social. With a tolerance like I'm sure you've built up, it will allow you to participate with very little side effects other than pissing every 15 min.
Drink more water fam. Hopefully this blows over.

Not long before the two scuffles I remember the wife trying to give me a bottle of water. I think she knew I was passed my limit. Sucks
What is bad is it happened in front of his wife and daughter. Just sad.

No, Saint. This is not any worse than the rest of it. You are in your mid 30's on the calendar but still aacting like you are 17. You stopped maturing mentally and emotionally at some point in your late teens. It is commonly thought that this happens to many addicts. You still chase skirt like a college kid...trying to fulfill WHAT? Prove something to someone???? WHO?
I hate to be harsh but you need to meet with someone and figure some of this stuff out before you end up back in prison or dead....
