I’m close to nightly as well but it’s generally just 1 glass of wine. My trip with my mother proves that I can’t even come close to drinking with her

I went three years before I had one this year for my birthday, and I've had one since then at a business dinner.
Life isn't that different for me without it, I still have plenty of fun, my friends don't give me shite about it, and I don't have to be hungover and have a shitty attitude after being up late. I'd say if you're going to quit then go until you don't feel the pull for it, and then you'll either have more control over it, or you'll realize that you have a problem with it and stay sober completely.

I was told to quit drinking a year ago. Don't miss it at all, especially the hangover part.
