He doesn’t realize no one wants to ‘meet me’ because I usually have at least one kid in tow
Ask Yote - I had the youngest with me when I almost ran him over in the crosswalk

It is very difficult to advance two careers simultaneously with a family. I "work" but my husband's career absolutely takes precedence every time. My children live the same way. Only 1 career is the real one lol. The other one is disposable at any point if needed or part time etc.
Very true. As one advances, the other takes the back seat. I loved my career and had advanced well but I always knew I wanted to stay home and raise any kids we had. Bringing our son home from Russia at 12 months, severely underweight and developmentally delayed made me being with him even more important than ever. He now is completely healthy with a 4.5 gpa so it was time well invested snd I wouldn’t trade a second of it for anything.
My husbands career advanced to the point where he basically needed a right hand at home and I’m proud that I have the skill set to give him that support. He needs that more than we need a 2nd income, which we really don’t need at all. Frankly, anything I earned would be taxed at such an extraordinary level it wouldn’t be worth it.

Due to the circumstances of the last few weeks in my ‘hood -I have to bring #2, #3 or #4 with me everywhere I go - they are my actual protectors

grl, mrs dph did similar stuff while jr was in school. not presidential though.
Oh, the owners wife and staff handle the presidential stuff. I’m only important enough to get involved in governor and senator fundraising dinners and networking. That’s not very often though. Most of what I do are events for industry leaders and their spouses for meetings and conferences.
