Hey, Bud.
Yes, they are. And these are now unrestricted licenses. But of course it didn't go without a big hiccup. For some reason, when we took them last time to get their restricted licenses, the people at the DMV gave them two different classes of ID. We didn't notice this, and believe me, we took the same exact qualifying documents. Birth certificate, social security card, drivers education qualification. As a result, and even though none of us noticed, one of them was given the full federally accepted ID card as part of her license and one was not. Which means one of them can't go to nuclear power plants, some other crap, OR FLY ON A COMMERCIAL FLIGHT!!! So after spending two and a half hours waiting there yesterday, one of them is going to have to go back with some additional documentation and get her license again. Now it won't cost anything but she's going to have to go down there and sit through the line again. I am 100% certain this is not a problem with the LCA family, but someone at DMV checked the incorrect box. I was so effing mad.
I mean, they are identical twins, they have the same address, I was there with my driver's license and the same address, and this jackleg wouldn't go ahead and approve. He said we needed two things with their address on it. I looked in my wallet, I don't have but one thing with my address and it now. I do have a passport which is acceptable, but they do not.

I find it odd that before they were 16 years old, they could fly with next to zero identification. Now that they've got their driver's licenses they have to have a certain identification with certain qualification.

I was one of the first to fly after 9/11 when they opened the skies. Tell ya something, it was a whole new world! The airline desk use to call me out by name when I came in but they toned even that down.
