It'a more like Bush Gardens than a zoo.

It takes us a little longer than one weekend to get 1260 acres ready. Plus it's too early for us to start planting. We start prepping the fields now and plant at the beginning of Oct.
That being said, my son came face to face with a cotton mouth yesterday. They were swimming in the creek on the property around the Tickfaw and bent down to grab a stick and there was a cotton mouth with his mouth open ready to strike. Scared the shite out of them. Almost turned out to be a really bad day.

Subtle brag.
Husband had a kid with a cottonmouth bite this weekend. He's fine.

Half our guys are retired, they were there Wed - Sun
plus we've been there twice in the last month for prep....this was just dropping seed and fertilizer
we have more than 1260 acres
ETA: also we open on Oct 1st so that would be too late

That's good to hear. How old was the kid? Where did he get bit?
It was kinda scary bc we were on the other side of the property clearing some lanes and the kids were alone in the creek. They had cell phones and could have ran back to the camp where we have a snake bite kit.

Mississippi? Bow season opens that early?
It's tough bc 260 acres in la and 1000 in bama makes it logistically challenging.
Our bow in bama doesn't open till mid oct. Pumped up that our season doesn't close until Feb 10 this season.

Jackson Parish
I haven't even looked at the season for our place in Mississippi, Dad is headed there Thursday to plant that. I normally only get there once or twice a year cause it's an 8 hr drive
