Get ready beer and whiskey fans, Rahr/BSG have announced new lower costs for malt imports thanks to the reduction in global container shipping costs!

quote:

Here’s some good news: new LOWER pricing for imported malts goes into effect Wednesday, October 4, 2023 for customers in the US. Customers in Canada will see this price adjustment a couple weeks later, in mid-October.

What Happened? Global container shipping costs have started to improve in key areas....(from the email) over the past few years, our supply chain and logistics teams have worked hard to help our customers navigate unprecedented price increases in logistics. Thankfully, after many months of increases, we are starting to see reductions in global container shipping costs in the trade lanes used for our European suppliers.

But its not just Malt imports - global container shipping costs are dropping like a rock!

What's the cost on just buying one these days? Has that regulated any?

They used to be pretty cheap, but I heard they got expensive the last few years.

At this point the problem isn’t the containers, it is that dock issues have made it impossible to ensure shite arrives and gets unloaded when it needs to.

People don’t trust that they will get their stuff from China or that it won’t get stuck off the shore of Los Angeles for months.

3 years ago, every other thread was about the rising costs of lumber, rising costs of shipping, etc.

Folks talking about "cherry picking" -- does that only apply to good news, and not bad news?

Its time to celebrate the good news of the day! Life is good, enjoy!

To answer your question: I'm not paid by anyone to post great news here. Certainly I'm not part of the China/Russia contingent posting on message boards breeding division. I'm here for the unity and good news!

Don't worry my dudes! An "R" will be in the Whitehouse soon enough and then you can enjoy the good times again.

I'll be enjoying the good times no matter what corrupt a-hole sits in Washington.
