Interesting side note. Oswald was from Covington and lived on Magazine Street uptown New Orleans in the Summer of 1963. Ive been by the place a bunch of times and they still have a sign by the barstool that he frequented on magazine.

Some of Oswalds harken back to the earlier days of St. Tammany Parish, but Lee Harvey lived in Covington for only a year or so around 1946/47. I had the address on Vermont Street in Covington. It's only a couple of blocks off my regular route to and from work and checked it out. Either they re numbered the homes or the place is gone because I didn't see it. It is just down the road from the current courthouse and around the corner from St. Scholastica. My grandmother lived three blocks away at the time, and I've wondered if she ever crossed paths with young Oswald or his mother.

That would be very interesting to know indeed. Im sure you know that many people in the Nola area had run ins with Oswald as he was commonly down on Canal St handing out leaflets covered with communist propaganda under the "Fair Play for Cuba" organization.
